Who we are

Regional Trainer, Sarb Masih: office@stopitnow.org.uk

Regional Trainer, Tessa Hawkes: office@stopitnow.org.uk

Tessa Hawkes is a retired Sergeant from the West Midlands Police, having retired in 2008. During the latter years of her service she worked in the Joint Public Protection Unit, monitoring and co-ordinating the activities of Registered Sexual Offenders.

Tessa joined Stop It Now! 3 years ago as part of a Home Office pilot to deliver community education to parents and carers about protecting children from sexual abuse. The pilot was very successful and is now an established project within the Black Country and Birmingham as well as Surrey. Tessa is responsible for the delivery of this training to parents and carers. The project has developed and now also offers internet safety. Each event lasts for about one and a half hours and feedback from parents is always very positive.
