Who we are
England Campaign Manager Liz Maslen
Liz joined Stop it Now! UK and Ireland in December 2009 after a 16 year career in the childcare sector, 9 years in the recruitment industry, and both management and training experience within TSO’s. Graduating in psychology in 1997, Liz went on to achieve a post graduate diploma in Project Management in 2003, and successfully ran a DCSF funded campaign for Birmingham City Council, before moving on to work with the Pre-school Learning Alliance as Assistant Divisional Director – overseeing the management of their Children’s Centres, nurseries and pre-schools across the South-West, as well as contributing to the development of their volunteer support strategies, and delivery of training to childcare practitioners.
Her background has given her a good understanding of the demands and constraints within the private, statutory and voluntary sectors and, since coming into post, Liz has worked to generate both strategic and grass-roots practitioner support for Stop it Now! across various agencies and organisations, and is keen to oversee the development and delivery of a range of activities within communities over the coming year – ensuring that all parents are provided with the information they need to keep their children safe from sexual abuse.
