Welcome to Stop it Now!
Stop it Now! UK and Ireland is a child sexual abuse prevention campaign.
It is run by the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, the only UK-wide child protection charity dedicated solely to reducing the risk of children being sexually abused.
We support adults to play their part in prevention through providing sound information, educating members of the public, training those who work with children and families and running our freephone confidential Helpline.
Our Helpline is available to:
We believe that child sexual abuse is preventable, not inevitable, and urge abusers and potential abusers to seek help. By working together we can prevent child sexual abuse.
Stop it Now!'s ground-breaking interactive film to show consequences of viewing sexual images of under 18s
Stop it Now! films to deter people from viewing indecent images of children
In October 2015 we launched a campaign to deter people from viewing and sharing indecent images of children online.
We've made a series of films to deter would-be offenders and to make it clear that Stop It Now! can help them stop accessing abusive images of children.
And you can read a BBC Online article on the campaign here.

1 in 6 children experience some form of sexual abuse in their childhood – but only a small proportion of offences get reported.
Sustained media coverage of high profile child sexual abuse cases demonstrate that sexual abuse can happen anywhere – without anyone noticing the signs. It is also common for those with concerns to not know where to go for help.
Stop it Now! provides a safe place for people to talk about their concerns and worries. This may be someone worried about someone they know or someone worried about their own thoughts.
Our Helpline resources are not able to meet demand; we miss around 1500 calls a month. Please support our work by making a donation.
