Churches Agency for Safeguarding The CAS is an ecumenical Umbrella Body initially set up by 10 denominations. For legal and employment reasons it currently operates through the Methodist Council. CAS is a collaboration between a number of church bodies or organisations acting between the CRB and the participating churches. It will handle applications and forward them to the CRB, receive Disclosures, interpret the information contained and give advice as appropriate.

National Charity which works with people with learning disabilities to fight discrimination. MENCAP campaigns to ensure that their rights are recognised and that they are respected as individuals.
MOSAC (Mothers of Sexually Abused Children) is a voluntary organisation supporting all non abusing parents and carers whose children have been sexually abused, to provide support, advice, information and counselling following the discovery of sexual abuse. Sure Start is a cornerstone of the Government's drive to tackle child poverty and social exclusion. It is based on firm evidence of what works.
