Who we are

Chris Pummell, London Manager

Chris Pummell is the Stop it Now! London Manager and a Project Co-ordinator with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation.

For 30 years he served with Surrey Police, joining in 1977. From 1992 he was involved in the criminal investigation of child abuse. He served on child protection teams around the county and retired in August 2007. In September 2007 he worked for Chelsea Football Club as their Children’s Services Officer, responsible for child protection training across the club and the community.

He joined the Foundation in May 2008 and has since been involved in a variety of projects, including delivery of Internet Safety presentations to schools across the country.

In addition to his role in London and with the Foudnation, he is also the project lead for the Department for Education funded Parents Protect! campaign aimed at providing parents/carers with information on how to talk to their children about child sexual abuse and the public perception of sex offenders.

He is an accredited Surrey Safeguarding Children Board trainer and also delivers Safer Recruitment training to education personnel and other multi agency professionals.
