Inform and Inform Plus Pilot Programme

From March to June 2011 Stop it Now! Scotland undertook a Pilot of a group educational programme for people suspected of or convicted of accessing indecent images of children via the Internet (Inform Plus Programme).

A separate group programme (Inform) was also piloted for the partners and families of people suspected of accessing indecent images of children via the Internet.

The groups offered support, advice and information to enable offenders and families to understand the behaviour better and to become more engaged in future risk management and prevention.

The Pilot Programme was delivered in partnership with Lothian and Borders Police, Fife Constabulary and Central Scotland Police.

An evaluation of the pilot will be produced and provided to all key stakeholders by the end of 2011.

It is hoped that the programme can be continued once funding has been identified.

The programme was developed by the Lucy Faithfull Foundation.
