Publications and Resources

Stop it Now! Scotland has produced a variety of booklets and resources in conjunction with our partner agencies. If you wish to enquire about any of these or order copies, please contact us on scotland@stopitnow.org.uk.

Our resources are free to order, and we want to continue to provide free information and research to help adults, parents and carers protect children from harm. However, as a charity we have limited funds available to develop and print materials and we welcome support from individuals. If you are interested in making a donation to help support our work please follow this link.

Talk abOUT it! (Men)

This booklet provides information for men in prison in Scotland who may have been affected by childhood sexual abuse. We understand that victimisation in childhood can contribute to the likelihood of offending behaviour in adults as well as a number of other serious problems such as substance abuse, mental health problems, etc. By raising the issue with men and putting them in touch with the right services we hope that the negative effects of their childhood experiences can be reduced and this can help them to lead more stable and offence-free lives. The booklet and supporting material is funded by the Scottish Government (Survivor Scotland Strategy).

Talk abOUT it! (Women)

This booklet provides information for women in prison in Scotland who may have been affected by childhood sexual abuse. We understand that victimisation in childhood can contribute to the likelihood of offending behaviour in adults as well as a number of other serious problems such as substance abuse, mental health problems, etc. By raising the issue with women and putting them in touch with the right services we hope that the negative effects of their childhood experiences can be reduced and this can help them to lead more stable and offence-free lives. The booklet and supporting material is funded by the Scottish Government (Survivor Scotland Strategy).

Still Reeling? (for people under investigation for internet offences)

This booklet is produced in partnership with the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (ACPOS). It contains details of our Internet Offence services as well as general information to help people under investigation get the right help at the right time as a start to changing their behaviour and reducing risk. The booklet is routinely provided by police officers to anyone suspected of such offences in the early stages of the investigation.

Upstream Community Engagement and Prevention Toolkit

The toolkit contains a broad range of resources and information for people working at neighbourhood level to help them engage positively with members of the public, families and communities about the sexual abuse of children, how to respond to it and how to prevent it. Training on the toolkit is provided through local workshops for agencies delivering services in communities across Scotland. The toolkit is funded by the Scottish Government (Survivor Scotland Strategy).
