Stop it Now! Thames Valley

Who's Involved

A strong steering group, made up form a wide range of agencies in the Thames Valley concerned with sexual abuse (including statutory and voluntary agencies involved in child protection and offender treatment) has been meeting for some time to establish Stop it Now! in the Thames Valley. We plan to take the work of forward by:

  • Making links and sharing good practice with a wider range of those in the Thames Valley with expertise in preventing and treating sexual abuse.

  • Finding out what is needed to resource and support those on the 'front line' of child sexual abuse including community and neighbourhood organisations.

  • Thinking globally and acting locally. There is a great deal of visionary thinking nationally and internationally on how children can be protected and nourished, and what role we, as adults should play in this. Stop it Now! Thames Valley plans to harness this thinking, and to use it to inspire a dialogue among those working in the Thames Valley area
