DETERRENCE CAMPAIGN - partnerships and media
Our work relies on strong partnerships to help get our messages to as many people as possible. Since the start of the campaign, we’ve worked with the Home Office, the Ministry of Justice, the National Crime Agency, plus police forces and NHS boards across the country, the Internet Watch Foundation, and other charities.
We've recently partnered with police forces across the South East in a campaign to tackle the demand for sexual images of children online. Read about it here.
The National Crime Agency estimates that 80,000 people are regularly viewing and sharing indecent images of children. The scale of offending means that we all have a part to play in tackling this growing problem. That’s why tackling online child sexual abuse and exploitation has become a priority for many statutory and third sector agencies.
The Home Office’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy, published in November 2018, committed to continued funding of LFF and the Stop It Now! Indecent Images of Campaign, in place since 2015.
We hope that your support for our campaign will not only help us achieve our objectives, but will also help highlight and publicise the work your organisation is doing to tackle the problem.
With support from organisations such as health providers, LSCBs and local authorities, operating at the heart of the community, we are can get the message out to anyone who is viewing, or thinking about viewing, indecent images of children that effective, anonymous and confidential help is available to stop and stay stopped.
