We give anonymous support and advice to anyone with concerns about child sexual abuse, whether this is your own or someone else’s behaviour. Our helpline is a safe space for callers to talk about their concerns and questions. Our advisors will listen to your situation and give guidance, support and advice tailored to what you need. Our advisors will help you to take active steps that protect children and build a more positive life.
Great service, has been very helpful, given me useful information and has been helpful in relieving some of my worries.
I feel less anxious than I did before the chat and I will try those links she sent me for the self-care and wellbeing. I will be back next week as promised.

Confidentiality and anonymity
Our helpline is confidential and anonymous. This means we can have open conversations with callers and discuss concerns in a safe environment. This safe space allows callers to be honest, which helps us explore their situation, concerns and behaviours. This means that we can give the best advice that is tailored to each caller and help increase the safety of children.
Our confidentiality policy is explained to all callers at the beginning of a call.
Here to help everyone
We can also arrange for an interpreter to join the call to translate over 200 languages. Our standard confidentiality policy applies and you will not have to provide any identifying information.
All LanguageLine interpreters have undergone advanced security checks and are bound by a strict code of ethics, covering impartiality and non-disclosure.
A day in the life of a helpline advisor
I was drawn to the job after a professional career as a nurse and midwife and seeing first-hand the real-life devastating effects child sexual abuse has on children and society. Stop It Now aims to prevent child sexual abuse, and talking about concerns and addressing actual or potential problems plays a major part in child protection.
