Stop It Now! has one overarching aim - to prevent child sexual abuse. We are passionate about this aim and throw all our energy into it. We look for people who want to do the same.

Communications is key to all of our work, and we need a multi-talented Communications Assistant to support all aspects of our communications, including social media, digital, marketing, fundraising, events and media. On top of that, over the next year we’ll be holding an event in parliament, releasing our annual report, and continuing the expansion of our Stop It Now! helpline. The post holder will be heavily involved in all of these projects.

The successful applicant will have a background in one or more of the communications areas listed above, perhaps from a charity or agency. They’ll be a fast learner, able to pick up the nuances of our messaging and brand, and to develop new skills. They’ll be well-organised and comfortable working under pressure, delivering their own projects and supporting others.

Applicants don’t need a background in or specific knowledge of child protection. Of greater importance is an affinity with our mission, a commitment to excellence in communications, and a capability to successfully help our charity grow and develop sustainably. The post offers considerable scope for creativity, and would suit a motivated individual who is looking for their next career move.

The successful candidate will be ready to hit the ground running, bringing a range of skills and attributes, but eager to learn new ones. They will be keen to take ownership of this role and deliver high-quality communications activities which help us achieve our vision of a world in which children are kept safe from harm. If this sounds like you, then please get in touch.

This is a full-time position, initially for 12 months. We offer a salary of £18,500 per annum and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This post will be subject to a DBS check.

The closing date is Monday 3 June at 10am. We expect interviews to be held on Monday 10 June.
