Head of fundraising and communications

The Head of Fundraising and Communications is a pivotal role for the Foundation and will join a dedicated team providing outstanding leadership across the organisation.

The Head of Fundraising and Communications will lead on the delivery of our fundraising and communications strategies with a team of five, two of whom will be direct reports. The position will involve bid writing and directly applying for funds from a range of bodies alongside delivering major donor stewardship and community fundraising activities. The communications element of the role will be delivered with the support of a strong manager in the team and involve activities that increase the Foundation's profile and reputation, supporting income generation.

You will be a proven fundraiser with specific experience putting together five and six figure multi-year bids to trusts, foundations and statutory bodies in a charity setting. As this role has a strong element of communications and people management, experience in external relations and team management will be key.

team leader / clinical lead - stop it now! scotland

Stop It Now! Scotland is part of the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, a national charity whose mission is to combat child sexual abuse and exploitation.

We are looking for a creative and dynamic professional to join our growing multi-disciplinary team and lead practice and innovation in our work in Scotland. The team leader / clinical lead will co-ordinate programme delivery to adults involved with online sexual offending and to family members and loved ones of those who offend. They will maintain a caseload undertaking direct work with individuals worried about sexual thoughts and feelings towards children. They will undertake risk assessments, prepare reports and provide consultation and training to professionals and the public. They will supervise practitioners in our team and contribute to evaluation, research, practice and policy development in relation to the prevention of child sexual abuse, both within our team and across the Lucy Faithfull Foundation more widely.   

This post would be particularly suitable for professionals with a background in forensic psychology or social work / probation practice with considerable experience in work with adults who have committed sexual offences and / or child protection experience. Applicants must have a recognised professional qualification plus a comprehensive knowledge of child sexual abuse and how it can be prevented. They will need excellent skills in inter-agency work, relevant assessment and therapeutic intervention approaches and are able to work in a trauma informed way. Experience in working with adolescents would be an advantage but not essential.

This position is an exciting opportunity to prevent child sexual abuse before it happens and to contribute to a safer Scotland for children to grow up in.

We offer 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 days plus bank holidays after 5 years’ successful service), Benenden health cover, NEST pension and regular training
