London Marathon 2021

On Sunday 3rd October 2021, the Virgin Money London Marathon will be taking place. There will be 50,000 participants running the traditional route in London, and another 50,000 running virtually from wherever they are in the world.

If you have a place in the marathon, and would like to raise money for us, please get in contact with our fundraising team who can help you get involved.

If you missed out on a place at the London Marathon, and would still like to be involved – we have a number of virtual spaces available. Running the marathon virtually, means you still get to take part but on a course of your choice. You get to run or walk the 26.2 miles outside wherever you are, you will also have from 00:00 to 23:59 to complete the marathon. You will still receive a medal and t-shirt for completing the marathon just as you would if doing it live.

There will be an app to download that will track your progress, this can be paused for breaks throughout the day but you must complete all 26.2 miles on 3rd October.

Sounds like something you want to participate in? Call our team to get involved, find out more about the charity and learn how your fundraising can help prevent child sexual abuse.

Fundraising events to protect children from sexual abuse

People who have fundraised for the Lucy Faithfull Foundation before have carried out various events from running marathons and jumping out of planes to holding dinner parties and hosting charity gigs! While they all do it for different reasons, they all have the same goal in mind – protecting children from sexual abuse by supporting a child protection charity.

Here are some of the reasons people have supported us:

“We wanted this run to promote and support the work of the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, especially its work running Circles of Support and Accountability. We think it’s a fantastic charity doing some very innovative work to protect children and we are proud to have been involved with Circles over the past year.”

“We searched through numerous charities and finally, collectively knuckled down to ‘The Lucy Faithfull Foundation’ as the charity we wanted to donate to, simply because we believe that their work is utterly remarkable.”
