Are you worried about a child, young person or adult’s behaviour? Or your own thoughts or actions?
You can talk to us.
Every day, children and young people across the UK suffer sexual abuse, most commonly by someone they know.
We work to prevent abuse from happening in the first place – and to prevent it from happening again if it already has.
Who we help
As a child protection charity, we work to prevent child sexual abuse by making sure adults know what they can do to keep children safe. Through our anonymous and confidential online advice and self-help resources, we can help you:
- if you’re worried about your own thoughts or behaviour
- if you’re worried about another adult’s behaviour
- if you’re worried about a child or young person’s behaviour
- if you want information on how to keep children safe offline and online.
Stop It Now is a project of the child protection charity the Lucy Faithfull Foundation – the only UK-wide charity dedicated solely to tackling child sexual abuse.
Talk to us if you’re worried about child sexual abuse
Our confidential child sexual abuse prevention helpline (0808 1000 900) is available for anyone with concerns about child sexual abuse. Callers do not need to give identifying information, so can remain anonymous. We speak to thousands of people every year, and help them take action to protect children and young people from sexual abuse and exploitation.
You can also use our secure messaging service or live chat if you’re not ready to speak to someone.
